Freedom for Educators
“Most teacher advice is written by people selling you something. This isn’t. I read data for a living and work alongside professionals who burn out — so everything here is honest about what works, what doesn’t, and what the research actually says.”
— Marcos Antonio, founder of GrowthLane
I read data for a living — not lesson plans
I’m Marcos Antonio — a data scientist and clinical research coordinator at a federal university hospital. I don’t write this as a former teacher, because I wasn’t one. I write it as someone who reads research for a living and works every day alongside professionals grinding themselves down under administrative load. The pattern I see in the hospital is the same one teachers describe: good people, exhausted by everything that isn’t the actual work.
That’s the angle here — analysis, not testimony. I trace every statistic to its primary source, I say when a study is weak, and I write from outside the US and UK systems, which means I compare them instead of assuming one. If a tool or a claim doesn’t hold up, I’ll tell you.
